I turn 40 today, and all I want for my birthday is intergalactic war:
Of course, it doesn't come out until Sept. 25, and I'd need to buy an Xbox 360 first -- it won't run on the Xbox already in my house.
But those are quibbles. I'm 40, dammit! Life's gettin' short!

Happy birthday youngster. My next new toy doesn't come out until November, another reason to live ;).
JP5: Nope. But that's what makes us the adorable lugs that we are. Plus we can lift heavy things and open jars.

What sort of new toy are you talking about?
My wife is 41, and she just outlined her theory of aging: since women statistically live longer than men, she's actually younger than me on a percentage basis.

Oh, well. No Xbox 360 or Halo 3. But I did get an iPod! Plus a good party. Spent the morning recovering and ripping tunes out of my CD collection.
PC game of course! The main event will be the release of Spore in spring '08. Can't wait to control the universe.
NYM: Spore looks really interesting, though I'll be curious to see a) how much fun it is working through each level of evolution and b) what sort of time commitment it requires.
Knight: Bring on the discounts! I'll cop to being 55 if it saves me 10%. My greed outweighs my vanity....
Alright now...you've had plenty of time to Halo-out. I miss my regular dose of non-tinfoil-hattiness.
