In case you aren't heartily sick of the whole Plamegate thing, Henry Waxman has decided to hold hearings a week from today on the disclosure of Valerie Plame's identity -- and have Plame herself testify under oath.
This is an obvious Democratic attempt to keep flogging the Plame scandal now that the Libby trial is over. But it could be interesting to have Plame under oath. Republicans will have a chance to ask questions about her role in her husband's Niger trip, just how secret her identity was, and the like. If they pick their questions well, and don't simply grandstand, we might actually learn something interesting.
We'll see.

And I might play quarterback in next year's Super Bowl. :-)
Wow! Really? Can you score me some tickets?
Oh, you're probably right.
Waxman was going to meet with Minority Leader on the House Reform Committee to SETTLE ON THE RULES OF HER TESTIMONY. What do you bet the rules will be "no questions" of Plame? And if she does allow questions of her; they will be limited. And while she will be allowed a lengthly speech where she will be allowed to besmirch the administration in any way she pleases---- it will go pretty much unchallenged.
I expect it to be very one-sided. After all, Democrats, namely Henry Waxman will be running the Committee.

Well, I would hope it wouldn't come to that. We shall see.
And while this doesn't excuse it, Republicans did much the same thing when they were in charge. At least condemn them equally.
